Memorial Day/House progress

This year for Memorial day we went up to the cemetery on Sunday instead of Monday. We had been planning a fun hike up rock canyon, but with new snow Sunday night our hike for Monday morning was postponed. Who has ever heard of getting snow in the foothills on May 30th. We even had a snowball at the bottom of the slide meaning it did snow a little here.

So, the weather was cold and we didn't spend much time at the cemeteries in Midway and Heber, but we did show the girls their great-grandparents graves.

There is also lots of flooding going on in Utah right now. The levy up out of the reservoir is open so the Provo river is really flowing high right now. In one spot it couldn't have been more than 12 inches below the rail road tracks.

In comparison, this is what we we doing last year for memorial day:

Looks a little different, doesn't it?

I know some of you have been waiting to see pictures on the progress of our house. Our girls (and their parents) love to go look at the progress multiple times every day! Hailey is standing in the room that will soon be her bedroom.

Here is a view from early this week (roof is now finished):
