Another birthday but this one turned 10!

Today is Hailey's 10th birthday and do you think we could really celebrate the way a 10th birthday is suppose to be celebrated, No, we couldn't.  How come?  Well I have to many children in sports and so I had to many games to go to.  This year Hailey's volleyball and Abby's soccer have games on the same days.  So some times when the time doesn't work, I will take Abby and John will take Hailey or Visa Versa.  Today the times worked but it meant we spent the whole afternoon at games.
Hailey was the only 4th grader on her team and hasn't really ever played volleyball before so this has been a completely new experience.  Her skills got so much better throughout the season, and by the end she was a good little hitter.

Abby claims that she hates soccer and she will never play again.  But, with Abby that is a daily saying and I have learned to ignore it.  She did a good job and was finally kicking the ball by the end instead of an imaginary grasshopper or a boy on team she didn't like by the end of the season.

Finally we made it home and Hailey was able to open her fun birthday presents.  Guess what she got...

Lots of clothes and new nintendo 3DS, boy was she happy!!!

Alyssa was just baptized!

Here special day had finally came and Alyssa was able to baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  She had a big desire to be baptized and she was ready to be baptized into Christs church.  Alyssa chose the speakers and songs trying to make everyone around her happy.  She has always been a child who tries to please everyone around her.  Her grandma played the piano, Uncle Kyron  gave the talks while her dad performed the baptism and blessed her with the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Later this year both of her cousins, Parker and Easton will also have the opportunity to be baptized.  I hope that they will each feel the sacred love that Alyssa felt at her baptism.

These sister love her so much and they were so happy to be able to be present at her baptism.

This is her Vannoy side of the family that was present at her baptism.

Before the baptism she looked so beautiful in these pictures, it's like she had a special peace about her.  And after it only was more prominant

Happy Happy Birthday or was it Easter....

Happy 8th Birthday Alyssa!!!
This silly girl wanted a raspberry cheesecake for her birthday.  I remember as a child I wouldn't even get close to a cheesecake, but I have to remember she is so much like my mother in more ways than one.
We started her birthday out with an Easter egg hunt because her birthday was also Easter Sunday!  Macey loved finding her Easter basket and found eggs all over the house and yard.  It was a beautiful day and so they were able to search for eggs all over our yard outside.

Hailey looked beautiful in her new Easter dress, too bad she won't ever keeps her big brown eyes open in the sun light!  She had a really fun Easter and gave up on her hunt for her basket, just as I would have....Hailey is so much like her mom (it's a little scary sometimes and annoys her dad a little too much sometimes)

Abby, and that little stubborn streak in her that tells her not to smile pretty when mom is trying to take an Easter morning picture.  She had a wonderful day and loved searching for eggs and baskets!

My little girls, plus a little girl from Richfield who came to visit us :)

After church we had dinner with our parents (mine and Johns) and opened Alyssa's birthday presents she had been looking at all day.
The big bag was the new patchwork quilt for her bed.  I hope she likes the colors!

April 14th Alyssa was baptised by her dad in the Edgemont Stake center.

There were lots of members of her family there and also many of her friends, primary class, and our ward that came to witness this wonderful event.
